Welcome to Historic Downtown Fairmont, Minnesota. We are nestled near Lake Sisseton, just minutes away from the
I-90 Highway 15 intersection. There are near 200 businesses and organizations just waiting for the opportunity to be
of service to you.
We are proud that we are part of a community that is so strong in heritage. With several landmark buildings, our
community is rich in culture and the arts. We have three great parks with in The Greater Plaza Area. Both
Ward Park and Sylvania Parks are located along the shore of Lake Sisseton and Citizen's Park Located on Downtown Plaza between
City Hall and Bank Midwest. We also have several historic buildings on or near Downtown Plaza. In
January, we will be starting a page featuring one of these great historical sights, so please visit us often
and look at what we have to offer.
Our Mission
The Greater Plaza Area Council is a group of business owners/managers and local non-profit organization leaders working
to preserve the community and it's way of life.
